BASI Pilates South Africa

BASI Pilates is an ecommerce platform for Pilates instructor training programs, built as a custom WooCommerce store. It handles course registrations, payments, customer notifications, and the administrative work that host studios do to manage their students.

The product challenge was course registration, not generic commerce: recurring courses, multi-studio coordination, and student tracking that didn't map cleanly to off-the-shelf WooCommerce. A long working relationship with the client meant I could extend the data model to fit the actual shape of their work, rather than forcing their work into someone else's defaults. The platform replaced a Drupal 7 site that had outgrown its purpose.
